Modern Slavery Statement

Man with Van Kennington Modern Slavery Commitment

Man with Van Kennington is committed to conducting business in an ethical, transparent and responsible manner. We recognise that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation are serious global issues that can affect any sector, including transport and logistics. This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps we are taking to prevent, identify and address any risk of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains.

This statement applies to all activities carried out by Man with Van Kennington and to all individuals working for or on behalf of our business, including employees, agency workers, subcontractors and suppliers.

Our Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery

We operate a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. Any involvement in, support for, or benefit from modern slavery is strictly prohibited. We expect the same high standards from everyone we work with, including drivers, independent contractors, suppliers, and other business partners.

We are committed to acting with integrity in all our relationships and to ensuring that our business is not used in any way that could enable exploitation. Where we identify non-compliance or credible concerns relating to modern slavery, we will take prompt and decisive action, which may include suspending or terminating relationships, reporting concerns to relevant authorities and supporting remediation where appropriate.

Supply Chain Standards and Supplier Audits

Our supply chain includes vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel and equipment suppliers, and labour and recruitment partners. We aim to work only with organisations that share our commitment to ethical conduct and respect for human rights.

To support this, we are developing and implementing risk-based supplier due diligence and audit processes. These include requiring suppliers to confirm that they do not use forced, trafficked or child labour, and that they comply with applicable labour and human rights laws. We reserve the right to carry out audits or request evidence of compliance from our suppliers and subcontractors, particularly where we identify heightened risk factors such as use of temporary labour, complex subcontracting arrangements or operations in sectors or regions with a higher prevalence of labour exploitation.

Where audits or checks reveal concerns, we will work collaboratively with suppliers to understand the issues, agree corrective actions and monitor progress. If satisfactory improvements are not made within reasonable timeframes, we may review the continuation of the business relationship.

Training, Awareness and Reporting Channels

We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks within our organisation. Relevant personnel, particularly those involved in recruitment, supplier management and operations, are provided with guidance on recognising indicators of exploitation and the steps to take if they have concerns.

All workers, contractors and suppliers are encouraged to speak up if they see or suspect any behaviour that may be linked to modern slavery or human trafficking. Concerns can be raised through internal management channels or directly with senior management. Reports will be treated seriously and sensitively, and we will seek to protect anyone who raises a concern in good faith from any form of retaliation.

We also encourage our business partners to establish their own clear reporting mechanisms so that any suspected incidents within their operations or supply chains can be promptly identified and addressed.

Continuous Improvement and Annual Review

We recognise that addressing modern slavery risks is an ongoing responsibility and that our approach must evolve in line with best practice, regulatory developments and the growth of our business. We are committed to continually improving our processes to prevent and combat modern slavery.

This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed at least annually by our management team. The review will consider any incidents reported, the effectiveness of our due diligence and audit activities, feedback from staff and suppliers, and changes in the external environment. Where necessary, we will update our policies, training and procedures to strengthen our controls.

By publishing this statement, Man with Van Kennington reaffirms its commitment to ethical business practices, respect for human rights and the prevention of modern slavery in all its forms across our operations and supply chains.
